DATED : 12th MARCH 2020 P.C:- The Appeal is instituted by the Insurance Company challenging the judgment and award passed by the Labour Court, Mumbai on 16th October 2014 in a compensation application preferred under the Workmens Compensation Act. By the said award, the applicant i.e. the Insurance Company and respondent no.2 are jointly and severally held liable to pay the amount of compensation.

2/2 16 CAF 1206-16.doc In filing the Appeal, there is a delay of 106 days and in the application, it is stated that some time has been lost in taking the necessary steps for filing the Appeal and the delay is not intentional but it is on account of procedural rigmarole. Considering the contents of the application and that the delay is of 106 days, in my opinion, since sufficient cause has been shown deserving its condonation, the same is condoned. Civil Application No.1206 of 2016 is allowed. Appeal is directed to be registered and listed for admission.
