The petitioner's caste claim that he belongs to Thakur, scheduled tribe is not verified by respondent No.2-Caste Scrutiny Committee since 2015, and therefore, the petitioner has approached this Court seeking direction to the respondent No.2 to decide his caste claim expeditiously.

Since the petitioner is seeking relief of direction to respondent No.2 to decide his caste claim expeditiously, we deem it convenient to dispose of this petition by passing the following order:

26wp5538.doc (I) Respondent No.2-Scheduled Tribe Certificate Scrutiny Committee, Nandurbar is directed to decide the petitioner's caste claim that he belongs to Thakur-scheduled tribe as expeditiously as possible and preferably within the period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order;

(II) It is made clear that we have not gone into merits of the matter and all points and contentions of the respective parties are kept open; (III) In order to comply with this order, the petitioner shall remain present before respondent No.2 along with all relevant documents on 6th January 2020 along with a copy of this order;

(IV) During the pendency and till the decision of the caste verification claim of the petitioner, respondent Nos.2 and 3 shall not take any coercive action against the petitioner on the basis of non verification of the petitioner's caste claim.
