We have taken the report of the CBI filed by the Additional Solicitor General on record.

Upon perusal of the same and particularly para 2 thereof, we enquired with Mr. Mundargi as to whether any application referred to therein has been indeed received.
Presently the State would have no instructions, according to Mr. Singh, because this application is made on 12-12-2019. 3.
The Competent Authority to deal with that application is the Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Government of Maharashtra.

We expect that Department and the Competent Authority to take a decision on this application as expeditiously as possible and positively before the next date. 5.
We have also taken on record the report tendered by Mr. Mundargi on behalf of the SIT, Maharashtra. 6.
On perusal of this report, it is clear that some steps are being taken after the earlier order. We do not express any opinion on the contents of either reports for we are aware that the details of investigation, which is still going on, need not be disclosed.

The application that is filed on behalf of the family members of the deceased Dr. Pansare is on record. 8.
There is a reply also filed to the same by the respondents.

Since that copy of the reply is received by
Mr. Nevagi today, we would place the application along with the other/main matters on 15-1-2020.
