This is an application for extension of time to furnish sureties. The applicant was granted bail by this Court (Coram: Prakash D. Naik, J.) vide order dated 22/03/2021, passed in Bail Application No. 1374 of 2020. Vide that order the applicant was directed to be released on bail in connection with C.R. No. 261 of 2020 registered with Versova Police station, Mumbai on his executing P.R. Bond in the sum of Rs. 25,000/- with one or more sureties in the like amount. The applicant was given concession y.s.patil
20-IA-1868-2021 in BA 1374-2020.odt to furnish provisional cash bail in the sum of Rs. 25,000/- for a period of eight weeks from the date of that order. The applicant has not yet furnished sureties. Instead this application is filed for extension of time to furnish sureties.

Learned Counsel for the applicant has submitted that, as mentioned in paragraph no. 3 of this application, after his release, the applicant went to Rajasthan to meet his relatives and because of lockdown in Maharashtra, he was unable to get sureties as directed. He submits that further reasonable time be given to comply with the earlier directions.

Considering these submissions, time to furnish surety is extended by a period of eight weeks from today. Rest of the conditions mentioned in order dated 22/03/2021, are retained as they are.

The application is disposed of accordingly.
