Today, when this Petition was placed before us, the Registrar (Legal) of this Court has produced on record the text of the Full Court Resolution, which approves the amendment to Rule 5(3)(c) of the Maharashtra Judicial Service Rules, 2008 and that approval of the amendment by the Full Court on 27th June 2016 has now been forwarded to the State Government as the proposed amendment. It is now for the State Government to take the requisite steps, which the Registry expects to be taken expeditiously and in any event before the next recruitment process. In view thereof, the grievance of the Petitioners has been redressed; though it is unfortunate that they could not derive any benefit therefrom.

The Writ Petition is, therefore, disposed of in the light of the Full Court Resolution and the proposed amendment.
