The applicant is arrested in connection with C.R. No.43 of 2017 (Special Case), registered with Rabodi Police Station for the offences punishable under Section 354A of IPC and under Sections 8 and 12 of the POSCO Act. First Information Report came to be lodged against him vide C.R.No.I-299 of 2016. Without adjudicating on merits, the learned advocate for the applicant submits that the trial may be expedited. He further submits that if the trial is not concluded within a period of six months, the applicant may be permitted to prefer a fresh application for bail. Considering the fact that the charge-sheet is filed for the offences punishable under Section 354A of IPC and
rpa 2/2 ba-1113-17.doc under Sections 8 and 12 of the POSCO Act, and in the light of the fact that the applicant is handicapped person and is in custody for the period of six and half months, the trial is expedited. If the trial is not concluded within a period of six months from the date of receipt of the order by the trial Court, applicant is granted liberty to prefer a fresh application for bail.
