This criminal bail application is filed under Section 439 of Cr.P.C. in C.R. No.111 of 2022 lodged with Chiplun Police Station for offences punishable under Sections 406, 409, 420, 465, 468, 471 and 34 of the IPC.

The Applicant is accused no.1 named in the FIR. The Advocate for the Applicant states that rest of the accused, i.e. accused nos. 2 to 15, except accused no.13, have been granted anticipatory bail/regular bail. Learned APP, on instructions from the Officer, informed this Court that Mr. Anand Jangam has died on 25 August 1 / 3

2021. Therefore, the only person, who is behind bars, is the present Applicant in the said crime.

Mr. Kadam, Advocate for the Applicant, states that the Applicant is the Manager in Corporation Bank, which has now merged with Union Bank of India and he is serving as a Branch Manager at Mysore Branch of Union Bank of India. Mr. Kadam further states that charge-sheet had already been filed in this matter on 1 March 2023. Therefore, the custody of the Applicant will not be necessary at all. 4.

Prima facie, according to me, a case has been made out for granting of bail to the Applicant on following terms and conditions: (i) In the event of arrest of the Applicant in C.R. No.111 of 2022 registered with Chiplun Police Station, the Applicant shall be released on bail on furnishing PR bonds in the sum of Rs.25,000/- with one or two sureties to the like amount; (ii) The Applicant is directed to report to the Investigating Officer within two days after he being released from the jail and as and when required by the Investigating Officer and co-operate with the investigation;

(iii) The Applicant shall not tamper with the prosecution evidence and or influence the witnesses in any manner; 2 / 3

(iv) The Applicant shall keep the Investigating Officer informed of his current address and mobile contact numbers, and/or change of residence or mobile details, if any, from time to time. 5.

The application stands disposed of.
