The present application is moved by the Applicant, who has been granted relief by this Court vide order dated 1st April, 2015. He was directed to be released initially on cash bail for a period of six weeks and provide one or two local sureties in the meantime. 2.

The Applicant has prayed that he has not been able to provide local sureties till date and that the period of six weeks expires today. He seeks extension of time by eight weeks to furnish the solvent surety.

Perusal of the paperbook reveal that an amendment had

2 appp412.15 been proposed by the Applicant on 8th May, 2015. It is found that the proposed amendment has been annexed to the paperbook at page 4A. The counsel for the Applicant submits that he is not pressing the amendment and that it was merely tendered across the bar. The office is directed to ascertain as to how the proposed amendment came to be inserted in the paperbook in absence of an order permitting the said amendment. A report in this behalf be placed before the regular Court before 20th June, 2015. 4.

Be that as it may, in my view, sufficient cause is made out to grant reasonable time for furnishing solvent surety. Hence the time to furnish one or two local sureties is extended by two weeks from today. No further extension will be granted. The Application to be listed on board on 22nd June, 2015 for considering the report. (A.K. MENON, J.)
