Heard. The only grievance of the Petitioner is that though she filed complaint dated 3rd April 2016, alleging the commission of offence under the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 , no action is taken by the police, nor FIR is registered. He submitted that offence alleged in the said complaint is required to be enquired into by the officer of the rank of ACP.

In the light of above submission, we dispose of this writ petition by directing the police to make an enquiry into the said complaint of the Petitioner and take appropriate decision and communicate the same to the Petitioner within seven days from today. Needless to mention that the enquiry is required to be undertaken in accordance with law.
