DATE : 18 FEBRUARY, 2015 P.C. :- 1] This petition is directed against the order dated 10 December 2013 made by the Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) condoning the respondents delay in filing an appeal.

2] Section 257 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966 provides for a revision against any decision or order made by the SDO. Accordingly, there is no necessity to entertain the present petition.

3] This petition is therefore dismissed. The petitioners shall however have liberty to institute revision petition before the appropriate authority. If the petitioners institute such revision petition 1/2

skc 26-wp-664-15 within four weeks from today, then the same shall be considered and decided on its own merits by the revisional authority, without adverting to the issue of delay. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter. 4] With the aforesaid observations, the present petition is disposed of.
