1) The petitioner's grievance is that subject land was allotted to her by Administrator, Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli at Silvassa through the Land Reforms Officer by an order dated 4th July, 1991. The petitioner was evicted from the said premises by issuing eviction notice by the Deputy Collector, UT Administration of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Collectorate Silvasa dated 24th May, 2016.

2) The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that against the said order of eviction an appeal has been preferred to

2 /2 7-wp-6917-17.doc the Administrator which is pending since 11th August, 2016. 3) The learned Counsel appearing for the respondent Administration submits that the appeal would be dealt with in accordance with law and on its own merit.

4) Considering the facts as well as petitioner's advanced age who is more than 75 years of age, we direct the Administrator/respondent no.1 to dispose of the appeal on its own merit by passing a reasoned order expeditiously and as far as possible within a period of two months from today.
