It is submitted that on petitioner's complaint chargesheet came to be filed against the accused person. Petitioner's grievance is that offences punishable under Sections 3(i)(v) and (viii) of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 (for short "the Atrocities Act") were not added while filing the charge-sheet. Petitioner addressed a petition to the National Commission for Scheduled Casts (Maharashtra and Goa). It is submitted that the Commission issued directions on 25th January, 2016 addressed to the Home

rpa 2/2 wp-1768-16.doc Secretary and DIG, Kolhapur Range, Kolhapur directing them to take necessary steps to file supplementary charge-sheet adding Section 3(i) and (viii) of the Atrocities Act. The grievance of petitioner is that inspite of the directions from the National Commission, the same are not implemented.

We have perused the record. The National Commission for Scheduled Caste had already issued instructions and called for action taken report. It seems that the issue is pending consideration of the Commission.

Learned APP shall also intimate to the Secretary Home Department, Government of Maharashtra in respect of the grievance of the petitioner.

With these observations, petition is disposed of. Learned APP to communicate this order to concerned officials.
