By an order dated 05.05.2017, the Applicant was granted interim relief. Heard the Learned Counsel for the Applicant, the learned APP and perused the record of investigation.

It is the allegation against the Applicant that, though the Room No.17, first floor of the Vithoba Kanoji Lagad Trust Building stands in the name of Krishna Daulat Rane (father of the Applicant) as a tenant, the Applicant by forging rent receipt No. 256 dated 16.07.2009 represented that he is lawful tenant of the said trust and got the electricity meter transferred in his own name. It prima facie appears that at the time of said transfer the mother of the Applicant namely Smt. Hemlata Rane has not taken any objection as the Applicant is one of the legal heirs of the said Krishna Rane. The police have already seized the necessary Sneha Chavan 1/2

The investigation of the present crime is solely based on the documents which are already in possession of the investigating agency and in view of this Court the custodial interrogation of the Applicant for further investigation of the present crime is not necessary. In view thereof, the interim relief granted by Order dated 05.05.2017 is hereby confirmed. However, the condition to attend the Investigating Officer is waived.
