By order dated 26.09.2016, this Court noted that in Writ Petition No.7081 of 2009, the learned Single Judge of this Court directed respondents to pay amount of Rs.8,100/- with accrued interest by 28.02.2015. As the respondents did not deposit that amount, petitioner has instituted the present Contempt Petition.

Mr. Bhate submitted that respondents have deposited Demand Draft of Rs.28,900/-, which includes principal amount of Rs.8,100/- with interest @ 6% p.a. from 09.07.1982. A communication to that effect as also 1/2

CP321_15.doc photocopy of the said cheque are taken on record and marked 'X colly' for identification. Mr. Bapat submitted that petitioner is 86 years old. He has confirmed the calculations and accepted that figure of Rs.28,900/- represents the dues of the petitioner and is towards full and final settlement of the claim of the petitioner. 4.

As the amount is now deposited by the respondents, it is not necessary to initiate any action against the respondents under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971. Petitioner is permitted to withdraw amount of Rs.28,900/- unconditionally. Contempt Petition is disposed of. Order accordingly.
