The applicant is seeking pre-arrest bail in Crime No.136 of 2016 for the offence punishable under Sections 406, 420 r/w 34 of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 16, 24 of Emigration Act.

The case against the present applicant is that she was an employee of Asia Pacific Overseas Consultant, a Proprietory concern of main accused Ranjeet Singh. The complainant claimed that Ranjeet Singh assured him Overseas job and he had paid processing fees of Rs.5,58,500/- to Ranjeet Singh through the applicant. However, neither any placement was provided nor fees

The role attributed to the present applicant is only to be that of staff of the main accused Ranjeet Singh. There is no material on record to connect the present applicant to the crime in question, particularly to infer that she is beneficiary of the act of Ranjeet Singh or received any part of the amount paid by the complainant.

The applicant pursuant to the order of this Court had attended the Investigating Officer. There are no criminal antecedents. In the event of arrest, applicant be released on furnishing P. R. Bond of Rs.50,000/- with two sureties in the like amount on the following conditions :

(i) The applicant shall furnish her mobile phone numbers and permanent place of abode to the Investigating Officer within one week from today. (ii) She shall attend the Investigating Officer on Monday and Thursday for two consecutive weeks and thereafter as and when called for.

(iii) She shall not tamper the evidence or influence the witnesses.
