The application made by the petitioners seeking sanction under Section 36(2) of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966 is pending.

This petition was filed on 8-5-2015. Since there were office reports dated 23-3-2014 and 1-10-2014, the petitioners state that it was expected that the main application itself is disposed of thereafter and expeditiously but they have been

On this petition, we had granted time to Mr. Samant to take instructions and he stated today that the application is still pending.

In the light of the fact that the application is kept pending and not disposed of as yet, we direct that it should be disposed of as expeditiously as possible and in any event by 31-5-2018.
