Rule. Returnable forthwith. In view of the limited prayer made in the petition seeking direction against respondent No. 1 to dispose of the pending appeal in a time bound period, the petition is heard finally.

In nutshell, it is the contention of the petitioner that the appeal preferred against the order passed by the Disciplinary Authority is pending for disposal before respondent No. 1, since last two years. Having regard to this fact, we are of the view that as 1/2

47)WP7122.15 appeal is against the Disciplinary proceeding and particularly order of compulsory retirement passed by respondent No. 2, it needs to be decided expeditiously.

We, therefore, direct respondent No. 1 to decide the appeal, if any, pending for consideration as expeditiously as possible, preferably within eight weeks from the date of passing of this order.

With this order and direction, the writ petition be marked as disposed of. Rule made absolute in above terms with no order as to costs.
