On 24/05/2022, the applicant was admitted to ad-interim protection and was directed to attend the concerned police station.

Learned A.P.P. makes a statement that the applicant has abided by the said order and co-operated with the investigation. 3.
Looking to the nature of accusations faced by the AJN
2/2 16 ABA-1337.22.odt applicant, who is the owner of the vehicle in which the prohibited substance worth Rs.4 lakhs was transported and when his role, apart from the owner of the vehicle, is tried to be looked into, the prosecution is unable to attribute to him any other role more than this.

The Investigating Officer was specifically asked to report as to whom the consignment was headed to, but it appears that the investigation is still in progress. Considering the limited role attributed to the applicant, order dated 24/05/2022 is made absolute.

The applicant shall, however, continue to render his cooperation to the Investigating Officer and shall report to him as and when directed.

The application is disposed off.
