Recording a prima facie case in favour of the applicant that the role attributed to him is only of slapping the complainant and since it is not alleged that he was armed with any weapon, by order dated 24/05/2022, he was admitted to interim protection. 2.

The applicant was directed to report to the police station and learned A.P.P. does not dispute that he has abided by the said AJN

On asked as to whether the custodial interrogation of the applicant is required, learned A.P.P., on instructions from the Investigation Officer, states that considering the limited role attributed to the applicant, his custodial interrogation is not warranted. Hence, the order dated 24/05/2022 is made absolute. 3.

The applicant shall, however, attend to the police station as and when called for.
