After suffering arrest on 24th April, 2021, the applicant came to be charge-sheeted for an offence punishable under Sections 135, 138 of Maharashtra Electricity Act and Section 379 read with 34 of Indian Penal Code.

The father of the applicant is already released on pre-arrest bail on 16th September, 2021 by this Court (Coram : Prakash D. Naik, J.)

Dusane 2/2 36 ba 2202.21.doc as the amount towards energy theft as was assessed is already secured by depositing the same in the registry of this Court. In that view of the matter, the application is allowed on following terms and conditions :

O R D E R

(i) The applicant be released on bail in connection with Crime No. 136 of 2021, registered with Versova Police Station, for the offence punishable under Sections 135, 138 of Maharashtra Electricity Act and Section 379 read with 34 of Indian Penal Code, on furnishing P.R. bond in the sum of Rs.25,000/- with one or more sureties in the like amount.

(ii) The complainant/Respondent No. 2 is allowed to withdraw the amount deposited by the applicant in the registry of this Court. (iii) If found involved in similar type of offence, liberty to move for cancellation of bail.
