Both the appeals are already admitted and the applications for bail during pendency of appeals are taken 1/3
today for arguments.
Heard rival arguments.
The applicant in appeal No. 594 of 2015 was convicted for the offences punishable u/s 3(1)(xi) of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act 1989 and also for the offences punishable u/s 354,341, offences for rioting u/s 336 427, and 506 Part II. The applicants in appeal No. 595 of 2015 were convicted for the offence punishable u/s 143, 147,148, 336 and 506 Part II. During the trial all the applicants were on bail. Considering the sentence awarded and considering that both the appeals will take much time for final hearing and considering the material against the applicants, in the opinion of this court, all the applicants can be released on bail during the pendency of the appeal. The applicants shall be released on bail on the same bail as granted by the trial court but on execution of fresh bonds to be executed before the trial Court.
