Vide order dated 5.5.2021, the applicant was granted temporary bail for a period of eight weeks from 5.5.2021 in view of the medical condition of the applicant. That period has come to an end. The present application is preferred for extension of that period. The grounds taken in the application are that while he was on temporary bail, he lost his mother on 21.5.2021 and his sister and her family tested positive for COVID-19 and, therefore, his treatment was seriously hampered.

Learned Counsel for the applicant Shri Marwadi submitted that the applicant is seeking extension of time for continuation of his treatment. He relied on the medical papers issued by the concerned doctors in the month of July, 2021. The certificate at page-32 of this application shows that the surgery will be done in the second week of September, 2021.

In my opinion, the period mentioned in that certificate is too long. A last chance by way of indulgence can be given to the present applicant and the period for temporary bail can be extended.

By way of last chance to the applicant, the period mentioned in the order dated 5.5.2021 is extended upto 30.9.2021. After that, the applicant will have to surrender before the jail authorities. Rest of the conditions mentioned in the order dated 5.5.2021 are retained as they are. Interim Application is disposed of accordingly.
