This is an application for condonation of 17 days delay in preferring the appeal against the conviction. The applicant has been convicted for offence publishable under Section-376(f)(i) of the Indian Penal Code and under Sections 4 and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual offences Act, 2012 by the learned Special Judge under POCSO Act and District Judge-1, Thane by Judgment and order dated 10.2.2016. For the reasons stated in the application and in the interest of justice the delay of 17 days in preferring the appeal is condoned. Application is allowed in terms of prayer clause (a).
