Heard. It appears that vide order dated 21 st March, 2017 passed in Writ Petition No. 11984 of 2015 the respondents were directed to take appropriate an decision on the application for Caste Validity Certificate made by the petitioner. The order dated 21 st March, 2017 records that the petitioner could appear before the committee on 12 th April, 2017.

It is stated today by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner appeared on the said date and despite directions to pass appropriate orders within three months from that date, no order has been passed till date and in the meantime the College of Agriculture, Latur has declined to accept the dissertation of the petitioner only for want of Caste Validity Certificate. 1/2

Such inaction on the part of the respondents is not acceptable. In the circumstances we order as follows;

(a) the respondents to decide the petitioner's application of Caste Validity Certificate within a period of three weeks from today. (b) Parties to act on an authenticated copy of this order. (c) Learned Government pleader shall in the meantime communicate this order by fax and email.
