This is an application for suspension of sentence and releasing the applicant/accused no.1 on bail during the pendency of the appeal filed by him. The applicant/accused has been convicted for the offences punishable under Sections 420 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code and on each count he is sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for two years.

Heard the learned Advocate appearing for the applicant as well as Shri Venegaonkar, learned Advocate appearing for CBI, ACB, Pune and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State. 3.
Substantive sentence of imprisonment imposed on the applicant/accused has already been suspended by the learned Trial Court. The appeal filed by him may not be heard within short period of time. Hence, I see no reason to deny relief to the applicant. Therefore, the following order;
:: ORDER ::
(a) During the pendency of the appeal, the substantive sentence imposed upon the applicant is suspended. (b) The applicant be released on bail in Special (CBI) Case No.60 of 2015 on his furnishing PR bond of Rs.25,000/- with one or two solvent local sureties in the like amount. (c) During the pendency of the appeal, the applicant shall mark his presence before the Trial Court on every first Monday of the month between 11.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. If the said Monday is Court holiday/public holiday, the applicant shall mark his presence on immediate next date, until further orders.
