This Contempt Petition is filed alleging breach of the order dated 2 November 2017 passed in Writ Petition No. 6850 of 2017 filed by the Petitioners. That Petition was disposed of on the statement made by Respondents No. 1 to 5 - Employer. The statement was regarding orders to be passed of promotion of the Petitioners and a deemed date thereupon. The order of promotion was passed on 27 September 2018 wherein Petitioner No. 5 is promoted without a deemed date and Petitioners No. 1 to 4 have been promoted with a deemed date. The Petitioners are aggrieved by order dated 27th September 2018. According to them, this order is a contempt of the

Once an order was passed by the Respondents and the Petitioners are aggrieved by the same, remedy would lie in challenging the order. This liberty is always available to the Petitioners to assail the order by which they aggrieved upon such contention as may be available in law and fact.

In these circumstances, it is not necessary to proceed under the contempt jurisdiction.
