DATE :

13th July 2016.

P.C.

1] The petitioner has challenged the notice dated 4th May 2016 published by respondent No.2 to 4 and non selection of the petitioner to the post of Senior Assistant Accountant and by making final selection list dated 18th May 2016, whereby the respondent Nos. 2 to 4 have finalised the list excluding the petitioner.

2] Admittedly, the post in question is of Senior Assistant Accountant and the petitioner does not possess even the basic decree of commerce and accountancy. The petitioner is Masters of Art and Bachelor of Social Work which is not relevant and concerned with accountancy and auditing.

YBG 21-wp5802-16 Therefore, out of the candidates available respondents have appointed the person who is possessing the bachelor degree in accountancy and commerce.

3] Reference and reliance of the petitioner on Rule 5 of Maharashtra Zilla Parishad District Service Recruitment Rules, 1967 for the post of Senior Assistant Accountant, in our view is of no assistance to the petitioner. Mere possession of degree is not sufficient when specific post is advertised which requires specific knowledge of accountancy. The selection, therefore, so made by the respondent in our view is well within the frame work of advertisement and law. Therefore, no case is made out. Petition is dismissed.
