This is a second bail application of the same applicant. On the previous occasion, he had approached this court vide Criminal Bail Application (st) No. 1716 of 2020. That application was allowed to be withdrawn unconditionally vide order dated 17/12/2020. By the said order, learned trial Judge was requested to make efforts to conclude the trial as far as possible within a period of 8 months from the date of order dated 17/12/2020. 2.

Learned counsel for the applicant today submits that, only one witness is examined so far. He submitted that, directions Gokhale

31-ba-2312-21.odt be issued to the learned trial Judge to proceed with the trial and conclude it within a reasonable time. Learned counsel for the applicant submitted that, he was aware that because of imposition of lockdown there was difficulty in conduct of the trial. He submitted that, some time-frame be given for the trial court to conclude the trial. He is not pressing this application on merits today.

Considering the situation and also taking into account the fact that, because of lockdown the trial court must have faced some difficulties, following order is passed.

ORDER

(i) The application is allowed to be withdrawn on merits and is disposed of accordingly.

(ii) The trial court is requested to conduct the trial as early as possible and complete it within a period of six months from today, as far as possible.
