1] Heard learned counsel for the applicant and learned APP for the State in Criminal Application No. 284 of 2016. 2] At the outset, learned counsel for the applicant does not press prayer clause (a). As far as prayer clause (b) is concerned, the applicant seeks extension of eight weeks time to furnish surety, as directed by this Court, vide order dated 18th December, 2015. The applicant vide prayer clause (b) has also sought a direction to the V.P.Road Police Station to carry out the verification process and 1/2
OSK 28-APPR-284-2016.odt submit a report to the Sessions Court within the said extended period of eight weeks, so as to enable the applicant to complete the procedure of furnishing surety.
3] Perused the application. For the reasons set out in the application, the application is allowed and time is extended by eight weeks to furnish surety. The concerned Police Station dealing with the verification process to complete the procedure of verification as expeditiously as possible, preferably within the extended period of eight weeks.
4] The Application is allowed on the aforesaid terms and is disposed of.
