Heard Mr.G.S.Jadhav, learned counsel for the applicant.

The applicant's previous applications for bail were rejected by holding that there existed a strong prima facie case against him, and that there were some other case also pending against him. The present application for temporary bail has been made on the ground that the wife of the applicant is not well, and needs to undergo a surgery, and that, at that time, the applicant's presence with her is necessary. The medical report submitted does not show that the wife of the applicant needs to undergo a surgery or that she is suffering from serious ailment. Under these circumstances, I am not inclined to release the applicant on bail.

Tilak 2/2 (9)BA-1012-15 However, it is a fact that the applicant is in custody since December 2013. I am informed that the trials have not yet commenced. In the circumstances, it would be proper to direct the trials to be expeditiously held.

Application is rejected.

The Court of Sessions shall proceed with the cases against the applicant expeditiously, and endeavour to complete the same as early as possible.

Liberty to the applicant to apply afresh for bail in the event of the trials not concluding before 31st December 2015. (ABHAY M.THIPSAY, J)
