The petitioner alleged certain illegal acts against the concerned police officer, who had registered the FIR. It is stated in the application that the petitioner was mercilessly beaten.

The petitioner apprehended that the he may be assaulted or killed in the encounter. It appears that subsequent to filing of this petition, the petitioner has been transferred to Indapur Jail on 03.10.2018. 3.

Be that as it may, in case the petitioner's grievance still subsists, we direct the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Prison in whose jurisdiction Indapur is situate to grant adequate security to the petitioner as it is necessary keeping in view the contents of the application filed by the petitioner. 4.
