None appears to prosecute the Public Interest Litigation filed in the year 2009 raising a grievance that the project affected persons have not been rehabilitated. That the project named Muchkundi Brhat Minor Irrigation Project, Taluka Lanja, District Ratnagiri is not being completed.

The reply filed under the signature of Assistant Engineer (GradeI), Irrigation Construction Sub-Division No.2, Lanja, Ratnagiri informs that the compensation has been paid to these persons whose lands were acquired for the irrigation project. Project affected persons have been rehabilitated at different sites and they have reconstructed their houses. 3.

This appears to be the reason why the Petitioner is not prosecuting the Public Interest Litigation.
