This is an application for modification of condition of bail granted by this court on 24th April 2017 in Bail Application Nos.1051 of 2016 and 1049 of 2016.

Heard the learned advocate appearing for the applicant / accused as well as the learned APP for the State. The learned advocate for the applicant / accused submits that the applicant / accused is permanent resident of Mumbai and while releasing him on bail, this court has directed him to furnish P.R.Bond of Rs.50,000/- with one or two solvent sureties from Mumbai, Thane or Palghar in like amount. The learned advocate submits that it is not possible for him to arrange for surety from Mumbai, Thane or Palghar immediately, though he has been released on bail.

The learned APP objects to the application.

Considering the fact that the applicant / accused is already directed to be released on bail and as the applicant / accused is ready and willing to furnish cash security and as he is also willing to furnish surety within a period of eight weeks from today, the following order :

i) Time to furnish surety as per direction of this court vide order dated 24th April 2017 in Bail Application Nos.1051 of 2016 and 1049 of 2016 is extended by eight weeks from today and till then the applicant / accused be released on furnishing cash security of Rs.1 Lakh.
