By this petition, the petitioner is challenging the order dated 22nd May, 2015 passed by respondent No.2 under Section 56(1) and (2) of the Bombay Police Act, 1951, whereunder he is externed for the period of one month from Palghar, Thane and Mumbai Suburban District. Mr. Marwadi, learned counsel for the petitioner does not dispute that this order is appealable under Section 60 of the said Act. We are, therefore, not inclined to entertain this petition and same deserves to be dismissed. 3.

Mr. Marwadi also submits that the impugned order is served upon the petitioner on 6th June, 2015. He further submits that the Shubhada S Kadam 1/2

Sr.No.902 WP 2185.15 petitioner is contesting election of Councilor of Vasai Virar City Municipal Council which is to be held on 16th June, 2015. A statement to that effect is also made in paragraph 6 of the petition. In these circumstances, and in the interests of justice, we are inclined to grant limited stay. Accordingly, the impugned order shall remain stayed for a period of two weeks from today.
