It is conceded that during the pendency of this writ petition, the real sister of the petitioner-Hemant Bhaskar Shinde has been issued a caste validity certificate certifying her as belonging to Thakur Scheduled Tribe.

Once this position emerges from the statement made on instructions by the learned AGP, then, let the Scrutiny Committee now pass the requisite orders in favour of the petitioner. We quash and set aside the impugned order dated 30th April, 2015 invalidating the caste/ tribe certificate of the petitioner on account of this subsequent development. However, we clarify that we have not examined the merits of the case.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. 4.

The learned AGP says that the caste/ tribe validity certificate will be issued to the petitioner within a period of one week from today. The statement is accepted as an undertaking given to this court.
