Applicant- Amogh Gajanan Sawant is facing trial in MPID Special Case No.45/2021 pending before the designated Court at Mumbai. This case arose from Crime No.212 of 2017 registered at Tilaknagar Police Station. Apprehending arrest in the aforesaid crime, Amogh Gajanan Sawant sought anticipatory bail from this Court. Interim protection was granted on a condition that, he shall deposit the amount then agreed by him. Accordingly, applicant had deposited Rs.87,00,000/- as part of the agreed amount. That since the applicant did not deposit the entire amount, interim protection was withdrawn. In the result, as on today, Rs.87,00,000/- and the interest accrued thereon is lying in the Registry of this Court. 3.

That since the applicant is facing prosecution under the MPID Act, it would be appropriate to transfer Rs.87,00,000/- with interest accrued thereon from the Registry of this Court to the Registry of the Sessions Court, Mumbai in MPID Special Case No.45/2021.

The Registry shall do the needful, preferably within three weeks from today. This order is passed

3/3 without prejudice to the rights and contentions of the parties, whose proceedings are pending before this Court. 5.
