1] By an Order dated 7th June 2017, the applicant was granted interim relief.

2] Heard the learned Counsel for the applicant and the learned APP. Perused the record of investigation.

It is the prosecution case that, on receipt of confidential information that at the scene of offence certain accused persons were indulging into preparation of country made liquor, a raid was conducted and the police found 27 drums of 200 litre each containing mixture of molasses and Ammonium Chloride (NH4CL) which is used in 1/2

aba.943-2017.doc manufacturing illicit country made liquor. During the course of investigation, the co-accused namely Sadanand Patil was arrested and the name of the present applicant has been revealed as a person who used to purchase final product from the accused persons. Apart from this fact, there is no other evidence against the applicant to connect him with respect to either preparation or sale of the said illicit country made liquor. 3] In view of the above, the applicant cane be protected by prearrest bail. Interim relief granted by Order dated 7th June 2017 is hereby confirmed.
