The challenge in this writ petition is to an impugned order dated 31 st March, 2022 passed by the respondent no. 2-Committee. The petitioner also seeks a declaration that the caste certificate issued on 20 th March, 2020 is valid. At the time of hearing of the petition, on behalf of the State, learned AGP tenders affidavit of one Mr. Sachin Subhash Jadhav, Senior Research Officer, Scheduled Tribe Certificate Scrutiny Committee, Pune in which it is stated that the impugned order was inadvertently communicated to the petitioner from 1/2 51.wp.7164-22.odt PMB

his office and that the matter will be reconsidered. He therefore, submits that if the matter is remanded to the respondent an appropriate order will be passed in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from today. In view of the statement in the affidavit, we pass the following order :-

O R D E R

(1) The impugned order dated 31 st March, 2022 is quashed and set aside.

(2) The matter is remanded to the respondent no. 2 - Committee which will decide the petitioner's application on the basis of the records as it stands within a period of two weeks from the date of uploading of this order. (3) The writ petition is disposed in the above terms. (4) Interim relief granted on 21 st June, 2022 will continue for a period of three weeks from today.
