The writ petition is disposed of with the consent of the learned Counsel for the parties on the following terms: (i) The petitioner would give up his claim for approval on the post of Assistant Teacher from the year 2004 and would stake his claim for approval only from 2007.

(ii) The Education Officer would consider the proposal of the petitioner for appointment on the post of Assistant Teacher w.e.f. 1 / 2

wp.5478.2014_1.doc 1.5.2007, after hearing the petitioner as the petitioner was found to be working in the school from the said date.

(iii) The proposal of the petitioner would be decided by the Education Officer within a period of 4 weeks from the date of appearance of the petitioner before the Education Officer. The petitioner undertakes to appear before the Education Officer on 2.3.2015.

(iv) There would be no order as to costs.
