The petitioner is an association of managements of unaided engineering colleges. Ms. Salgaonkar, learned counsel for the petitioner makes a statement that the petitioner-association has filed this petition on behalf of 11 institutions viz.(1) Dattakala Group of Institutions,

(2) SSMS's Padmabooshan Vasantdada Patil Institute of Technology,

(3) Shri Someshwar Shikshan Prasarak Mandals, (4) Phaltan Education Society's College of Engineering, (5) Shri Ambabai Talim Sanstha,

(6) ABMSP's Anantrao Pawar College of Engineering and Research, Shubhada S Kadam 1/4

(7) YSPM's Yashoda Technical Campus, (8)Padmashri Dr. V. B. Kolte College of Engineering, (9) Shree Yash Pratishan, Shreeyash College of Engineering and Technology, (10) Vishwabharati Academy's College of Engineering and (11) Dr. Bhausaheb Nandurkar College of Engineering. The statement is accepted.

The grievance in the petition is that the intake capacity of the said member institutes of the petitioner association is reduced at the instance of the All India Council for Technical Education (for short "AICTE"). Ms Salgaonkar also submits that the orders of the AICTE are challenged by 9 member institutes viz.Dattakala Group of Institutions, SSMS's Padmabooshan Vasantdada Patil Institute of Technology, Shri Someshwar Shikshan Prasarak Mandals, Shri Ambabai Talim Sanstha, ABMSP's Anantrao Pawar College of Engineering and Research, YSPM's Yashoda Technical Campus, Padmashri Dr. V. B. Kolte College of Engineering, Shree Yash Pratishan, Shreeyash College of Engineering and Technology and Dr. Bhausaheb Nandurkar College of Engineering by filing individual appeals. Out of the appeals filed by the aforesaid 9 member institutes mentioned above, the arguments in the appeals filed by the 6 member institutes viz. Dattakala Group of Institutions, SSMS's Padmabooshan Vasantdada Patil Institute of Technology, Shri Someshwar Shikshan Prasarak Mandals, YSPM's Yashoda Technical Shubhada S Kadam 2/4

Campus, Padmashri Dr. V. B. Kolte College of Engineering and Shree Yash Pratishan, Shreeyash College of Engineering and Technology are already concluded, however, orders are not passed. So far as appeals filed by 3 member institutes viz. Shri Ambabai Talim Sanstha, ABMSP's Anantrao Pawar College of Engineering and Research and Dr. Bhausaheb Nandurkar College of Engineering are concerned, even the arguments are not heard. Ms. Salgaonkar, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that these appeals are required to be disposed of expeditiously as last date for the students to opt for the institution is 22nd June, 2016.

Ms. Meena Doshi, learned counsel for respondent No.1, on instructions, makes a statement that the order in respect of the appeals which are already heard would be communicated to the concerned institutes by 17th June, 2016. The statement is accepted. So far as the appeals which are not even heard as of today, Ms. Doshi is unable to make any statement.

Considering that the last date for the students to opt for the institutes is 22nd June, 2016, we direct the appellate authority to dispose of the appeals filed by 3 member institutes viz. Shri Ambabai Talim Sanstha, ABMSP's Anantrao Pawar College of Engineering and Research Shubhada S Kadam 3/4

and Dr. Bhausaheb Nandurkar College of Engineering and communicate the order passed therein on or before 20th June, 2016. 6.

Ms. Salgaonkar, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press for relief in respect of 2 member institutes viz. Phaltan Education Society's College of Engineering and Vishwabharati Academy's College of Engineering as they have not filed any appeal. 7.
