The present application is taken out in Criminal Appeal seeking extension of bail granted on 11 th April, 2018 whereby this Court directed the applicant to be enlarged on temporary bail for three weeks from the date of release. It is stated that the period of three weeks expires today. Bail was granted on account of the fact that the petitioner's mother had expired on 9 th April, 2018 and also on account of birth of the child of the applicant on 1 st April, 2018.

The application for extension today is on the basis that the 40 th day
*2* 919.cri.appa-770.18.doc ceremony "Chaliswan", after the demise of the mother of the applicant falls on th May, 2018 and as such extension is sought to enable him to attend the said function since he is the eldest in the family. 3.
The learned Special Public Prosecutor has no objection to the grant of extension of time.

In the circumstances, we pass the following order:- (i) The temporary bail granted on 11 th April, 2018 is hereby extended by a period of two weeks from today and the applicant shall surrender on 23 rd May, 2018.
(ii) The extension is granted on the same terms and conditions fixed by the trial Court in terms of paragraph 5 of the order of the Supreme Court dated 15 th September, 2017 in Criminal Appeal no.1666 of 2017 and subject to furnishing the appropriate bonds.
(iii) Parties to act on an authenticated copy of this order. (iv) List the matter as per scheduled date.
