The aforesaid applications are received through jail. 2.

Heard Mr. Apte, learned counsel appointed from the panel of Legal Aid Committee. Mr. Apte submitted that the applicant is arrested on 23.09.2013 for the charges punishable under Section 397 and other related offences. He has submitted that as of today, the applicant has undergone the incarceration for about 3 1⁄2 years and therefore either he may be released on bail or the trial arising out of C. R. No. 147 of 2013 registered with Nallasopara Police Station, District Palghar may be expedited.

As the applicant is in jail since 27.09.2013, the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Vasai seized of the trial pertaining to C. R. No. 147 of 2013 registered with Nallasopara Police Station, District Palghar 1/2

(44) BA 1082-16 hereby directed to expedite the trial and to make an endevour to conclude the same within a period of one year from the date of receipt of this order. 4.

The applications are allowed in the aforesaid terms. 5.

The Registry is hereby directed to communicate this order to the applicant who is lodged in Thane Central Prison and to the concerned Court.
