By these applications through jail, the applicant/ convicted accused is seeking expeditious hearing of his appeal by which he is challenging his conviction as well as the resultant sentence. In the first half, Advocate Ms.Rachana Thakur holding for Advocate Mrs.Anjali Awasthi appeared and requested for avk 1/2

904-APPA-1211-2019-751-2019.doc passing over the matter. In the second session, when these applications are called out for hearing, she is absent. Infact, on earlier occasion i.e. on 4th September 2019, as nobody represented the appellant/accused, this court had appointed Ms.Tahira Qureshi, the learned advocate on the panel of High Court Legal Aid Services to represent the appellant/accused, at the costs of the State. Ms.Tahira Qureshi is present and she is ready to work out the matter. However, one more chance is granted to the originally engaged advocate of the appellant/accused to work out the matter.

Request for early hearing, as prayed in these applications, is allowed. The appeal be listed for final hearing at the end of board of 20th September 2019.
