In pursuance of Orders dated 07.12.2022 and 25.01.2023 Shri. Dattatray G. Gawade, In-charge Additional Superintendent of Taloja Central Prison, Navi Mumbai has filed affidavit dated 10.02.2023. The said affidavit is accompanied with statements of Mr. Hidayat Tamboli and Mr. Ravindra Tonage, the Jailors, who were at the relevant time posted at Taloja Central Prison, Navi Mumbai.

It is stated in the affidavit that, the inquiry conducted by the concerned Authority revealed that, there is no semblance of truth in the allegations of Petitioner that, the said two Officers in fact demanded any amount from either the Petitioner or other jail inmates. As far as the grievance of Petitioner that, he has not been produced before the trial Court Digitally signed by SAJAKALI LIYAKAT JAMADAR Date:

SLJ 35-WP-2473-2021.doc 15.03.2018 till 09.03.2020, Petitioner was produced before the trial Court on 26 occasions and could not be produced on 11 occasions for want of police escort. It thus appears that, there is no substance in the grievance made by Petitioner.

Petition is accordingly dismissed.
