Heard both sides.

In so far as prayer a (i) is concerned, we have noted the fact that the request made by the petitioners and which is the subject matter of this prayer has been considered and granted by the authorities. The petitioners have no grievance in so far as this relief or request is concerned.

In so far as other prayer (a)(ii) is concerned, the petitioners are
Rng 2 provided with copies of the panchanama. However, the request is that the detained goods be dealt with in accordance with law. We do not see how any such request can be made for we are shown no material at this stage of any contravention and of mandatory provision of law and/or any action contrary to law. If the petitioners are aggrieved by the detention of their goods and without authority of law then let this Petition be treated as a request or a representation of the petitioners against such alleged detention. 3.
Let the authorities take a decision on this representation and by treating the present Petition as a written request and enlisting all the grievances. Let this action be taken as expeditiously as possible and within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. We clarify that we have expressed no opinion on the rival contentions. Beyond noting the request as made in our order passed today which shall not be considered as a direction to the authorities and in the form prayed, we dispose of the petition.
