P.C. :- After these petitions were placed before us and our attention is invited to the judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court rendered in the case of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Vs GTL Infrastructure Limited and Others1, it is conceded that the Maharashtra Village Panchayats Act and particularly, the provision invoked (Section 124) would enable a Panchayat (Grampanchayat) to levy, assess and recover taxes on the windmills. Once the position in law is conceded in the above terms, then, none of the writ petitions deserve to be entertained. Each one of them is disposed of in terms of the judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court. There will be no order as to costs. (B.P.COLABAWALLA, J.) (S.C.DHARMADHIKARI, J.)
