The applicant was granted bail by this Court (Coram: Prakash D. Naik, J.) vide order dated 8.4.2021 passed in Bail Application No.1116/2021. The applicant was directed to be released on bail on his executing a PR bond in the sum of Rs.25,000/- with one or more sureties in the like amount. The applicant was permitted to furnish provisional cash bail security in the sum of Rs.25,000/- for a period of eight weeks in lieu of surety.

This application is moved for extension of further period of cash bail security.

Learned counsel for the applicant submitted that because of spread of pandemic, the applicant could not get the sureties. In the meantime his father had also fallen ill. Therefore, he had to attend to his father and there was further delay in securing sureties.

Considering these submissions, time to furnish the sureties is extended by further period of four weeks from today. Till then, the provisions cash bail security provided by the applicant shall be in force. The application is disposed of accordingly.
