This is an application for anticipatory bail in connection with C.R.No.I-25 of 2017 registered with Murbad police station for offence under sections 307, 326, 324, 323, 120B, 341,141,147,148,149,504,427 of IPC.

It is the case of the prosecution that a group of people who were armed with swords and spears had assaulted the injured persons. It is alleged that the complainant/injured person had made a complaint with regard to the illicit liquor business conducted by the accused and therefore, the accused were annoyed.

The learned Advocate appearing for the Applicant
RNG 910-957.17.odt submitted there is no overt act is attributed to the Applicant. He submitted that there were complaints for conducting liquor business against the complainant and therefore there is no truth in the prosecution case that he was against such illicit business. 4.
The learned APP vehemently opposed the application. She submitted that specific overt act has been attributed to the Applicant. She submitted that the Applicant had committed a serious offence and had assaulted the injured persons with dangerous weapon. She further submitted that the present Applicant was armed with a sword and he assaulted one Pramod. She pointed out that the injury certificate of Pramod which reflected injuries sustained by him. 5.
Considering the involvement of the Applicant and the nature of the crime, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the Applicant. Hence, I pass the following order :

Application stands rejected.
