The Petitioner in this Writ Petition is challenging the order dated 3rd January 2017 passed by the Additional Collector, Ratnagiri in Dispute Application No.21 of 2016 as well as the order 11th May 2017 passed by the Additional Commissioner, Konkan Division, Mumbai in Appeal No.34 of 2017.

By the impugned order dated 3rd January 2017 passed by the Additional Collector, Ratnagiri it has been declared that the Petitioner has been disqualified as Member of the

The elections of the Gram Panchayat were held in the month December 2015. The term of five years period has come to an end in December 2020. The impugned order was passed on 3rd January 2017 by the Additional Collector, Ratnagiri and the same has been confirmed by the Additional Commissioner, Konkan Division at Mumbai by order dated 11th May 2017.

Learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner states that as the impugned order of the Additional Collector, Ratnagiri which has been confirmed by the Additional Commissioner, Konkan Division, Mumbai only declares that the Petitioner is disqualified as Member of the Gram Panchayat for the remaining period and as the said period has come to an end, the Petition has become infructuous. Accordingly, nothing survives in this Writ Petition. 5.

The Writ Petition is disposed of as it has become infructuous.
