1] This is an application for releasing the applicant on temporary bail enabling him to attend the examination of Mechanical Engineering (Semester-IV) at Fr.C. Rodrigues Institute of Technology at Navi Maumbai on 17.05.2018, 23.05.2018, 29.05.2018, 04.06.2018 and 08.06.2018. 2] The learned Counsel appearing for the applicant submitted that, by an Order dated 16th March 2018 the learned Trial Court had permitted the applicant to attend the examination in police escort and on certain terms and conditions mentioned therein. She submitted that the applicant had complied with the said conditions without any breach.

3] In view thereof, the applicant is permitted to attend the examination 1/2

Rodrigues Institute of Technology at Navi Maumbai on 23.05.2018, 29.05.2018, 04.06.2018 and 08.06.2018 subject to following conditions:- (i) The Jail Authority is directed to take the applicant on the said dates to the said College in police escort. The applicant will be taken to the said College on the aforestated dates on or before 1.30 p.m and after his examination is over, he shall be taken back to Thane Central Prison. (ii) The applicant shall pay the police escort charges in advance and after 8th June 2018, he shall pay deficit amount, if any on demand made by the concerned Authority.

(iii) The applicant while on bail, shall not contact the victim and/or any witnesses of the present crime and shall not pressurize, threaten to dissuade them.

(iv) The escorting party shall not take applicant to any other places other than the said examination center/hall of the college on the aforestated dates.

(v) The escorting party to take necessary steps to prevent the applicant from absconding when he is on bail.
